Engineering
Engineering is organized into four functional groups to make best use of specialized skills:
- Tactical Group: power systems, transceiver cases, radio cases, etc.
- Portable Group: transit case systems, single equipment, single component
- Mobile Group: vehicle systems, boat systems, shipboard systems, helicopter systems, aircraft systems, etc.
- Facility Group: command centers, network installations, satellite communication terminals, etc.
Designs from each group include a wide variety of technologies:
- RF line of sight and satellite radios
- Local and wide area networks
- Audio/Video equipment, including video teleconference systems
- Security cameras, access control equipment, and intrusion detection equipment
- Telephone equipment
- Mechanical packaging and installation
- Power distribution, heating, and cooling
