Newark, New York – February 1, 2008 – Ultralife (NASDAQ: ULBI) announced that it has changed the name of its Innovative Solutions Consulting (ISC) unit to RedBlack Communications™.
"Red and black are the words used in the communications industry to signify secure and non-secure," said Jim Evans, Ultralife vice president and general manager and president of RedBlack Communications. "Those words have meaning to customers seeking an engineering and technical services organization such as RedBlack to design, manufacture and support communications and electronic systems."
"The new name capitalizes on the brand's core offering of secure and non-secure communications and electronics solutions for the Government and Defense market and broadcasts a very clear message to customers exactly what the company provides," said John D. Kavazanjian, Ultralife's president and chief executive officer. "And the new logo signature, with its striking red and black color treatment, visually reinforces the RedBlack core offering. Rebranding ISC to RedBlack Communications is part of our company-wide plan to ensure that all Ultralife brands possess a distinctive identity in their respective markets."
